Road signs in Mexico

The road signs used in Mexico are regulated by Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes's Directorate-General for Roads (Dirección General de Carreteras), and uniformized under a NOM standard[1] and the Manual de Dispositivos para el Control del Tránsito en Calles y Carreteras. The signs share many similarities with those used in the United States and Canada, a reflection of the MUTCD influence in the region.

  • SR-06: Stop

  • SR-07: Yield

  • SR-08: Checking

  • SR-09: Speed limit

  • SR-10: Right turn only

  • SR-11: Traffic direction

  • SR-11A: Divided road begins

  • SR-12: Left turn only

  • SR-13: Cargo vehicles keep right

  • SR-14: Two-way traffic

  • SR-15: Maximum height restriction

  • SR-16: Maximum width restriction

  • SR-17: Maximum weight restriction

  • SR-18: No overtaking

  • SR-19: No bus stops

  • SR-20: No stopping

  • SR-21: Parking

  • SR-22: No parking

  • SR-23: No right turn

  • SR-24: No left turn

  • SR-25: No U-turn
