@Zanahary:, you obviously haven't actually read the sources then. The NME reference states: "the title track – a moving tribute to the Cesters’ father, who died of cancer as they toured ‘Get Born’. It’s essentially ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, but why worry about where it came from when it’s such an obvious classic-in-waiting?". The LA Times article states "‘Shine On’ is a song I wrote from Dad’s perspective. It’s like his words to us, to our family. And there are songs about how unhappy we were,” Cester explains." @Dan arndt, yes, that’s a source that mentions the song—it is not about the song; it is about the album. That’s strictly relevant per WP:NSONG, which requires that a song be the subject of multiple sources, and less strictly so, but still, for GNG. I don’t know what you think my motivation would be for pretending to have read the sources, but maybe you could assume good faith rather than a tearing crusade to delete this song’s article that stops just short of clicking on the links in the reference list. ꧁Zanahary꧂ 08:00, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
