Vie privée (2025 film)

Vie privée (lit.'Private Life') is an upcoming French murder mystery film co-written and directed by Rebecca Zlotowski, starring Jodie Foster, Daniel Auteuil, and Virginie Efira.

The film will have its world premiere at the out of competition section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.[2]

Cast

Production

Rebecca Zlotowski co-wrote the film with Anne Berest and Gaëlle Macé. Frederic Jouve of Les Films Velvet serves as the producer.[3]

The cast is led by Jodie Foster, Daniel Auteuil, and Virginie Efira. Principal photography took place in Paris and Normandy, starting on 30 September 2024 and concluding on 22 November 2024.[1][4]

In February 2025, Sony Pictures Classics acquired North American and Latin American distribution rights for the film.[5]

Release

In April 2025, Vie privée was announced as part of the Out of Competition lineup at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May 2025.[6]
