Hello, Solenereboulet, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Advans International (talk · contribs), Wajih Bouslimi (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 15:32, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Annh07,
- Thank you for reaching out. I understand Wikipedia's policies regarding paid editing and multiple accounts.
- To clarify, I am a freelance editor working on improving the Advans International page. My edits are based on secondary sources and Wikipedia's neutrality guidelines.
- I do not control or coordinate with the accounts you mentioned (Advans International and Wajih Bouslimi), and I only edit from this account (Solenereboulet). If needed, I am happy to provide further clarification regarding my contributions.
- Best regards,
- Solène Solenereboulet (talk) 17:20, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Solenereboulet. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Advans, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 17:20, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Annh07,
- I would like to confirm that I have properly disclosed on my user page that I am being paid for my contributions to the Advans article, in full compliance with Wikipedia's transparency and neutrality requirements.
- I am a web writer, and my objective is to create an encyclopedic article that adheres strictly to Wikipedia's guidelines. I have the utmost respect for Wikipedia and its principles, and I ensure that no promotional content is included in my contributions.
- My sole aim is to follow Wikipedia's policies and provide neutral, well-sourced information about Advans, based on reliable secondary sources. If any adjustments are needed to better align with Wikipedia’s standards, I am open to discussion and willing to make the necessary improvements.
- Thank you. Solenereboulet (talk) 17:32, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback, because you have a conflict of interest with Advans, you shouldn't directly edit articles about this organization (please see WP:COI, WP:PAY), all edits must be through the article's talk page, please follow the instructions here: Edit COI.
- In addition, adding promotional material to the article isn't allowed. Please see WP:PROMO, WP:ADS. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 17:48, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. I fully understand Wikipedia’s guidelines regarding conflict of interest (COI) and paid contributions, and I will strictly follow them.
- I confirm that I will not directly edit the Advans article. Instead, I will propose any suggested edits on the article's talk page, following the appropriate procedures as outlined in WP:COI and WP:PAY.
- I also acknowledge that promotional content is not allowed, and I will ensure that any contributions remain neutral, encyclopedic, and based on reliable secondary sources. My sole objective is to contribute to a well-sourced and neutral article that aligns with Wikipedia's standards.
- Thank you again for your guidance. Please let me know if there are any further recommendations I should follow.
- Best regards, Solenereboulet (talk) 17:51, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- I have added
{{edit COI}}
to your request at Talk:Advans (you need to add this template everytime you create an edit request related to a conflict of interest). Editors without conflicts of interest will review your request and respond to you, this may take some time, so please be patient. Annh07 (talk) 18:13, 19 March 2025 (UTC)- Thank you very much, I'll be sure to use it every time. Solenereboulet (talk) 18:22, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- I have added
- Hello, I'm coming back to you because it's been about ten days since I proposed my modifications on the Advans Talk page, respecting the COI rules. I've had no feedback on these proposals, and I don't know if this is normal in terms of delay. Could you take a look, or perhaps you know a contributor who could? If so, do you know if there's anything in particular I can or should do?
- Thank you very much for your time and feedback.
- Best Regards, Solenereboulet (talk) 13:10, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- As far as I can see, two out of the 10 requests you submitted were declined. Requests can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to review. There're currently over 170 requests in the backlog, you may see some requests from last December that haven't yet been reviewed.
- Note that there's no specific rule about which requests will be reviewed first (no priority), but usually the oldest requests may get more attention. You have submitted 10 edit requests with a fairly large amount of information to update, I would guess that it may take longer to be reviewed, so please be patient. Re Advans
Hi. I came across Advans and I decided to nominate it for deletion. Sorry. It's just business. I am confident that you are a fine person, I know that PR is a useful and honorable profession, and you are operating correctly within our rules. It's just that I personally don't agree with that rule, and I tend to be quite skeptical of PR people engaging here (the Wikipedia). I hope that, should the article be deleted, that that doesn't cause you a loss of income or reputation Herostratus (talk) 23:04, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
- Do you think this is worth bringing to WP:SPI or WP:ANI? I'd bring them up as a meatpuppet of User:Advans International but I've had problems with being too quick to bring stuff there in the past. guninvalid (talk) 20:44, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
Re Deletion discussion
In the deletion discussion for Advans, you wrote that my job has led me to do some advanced research on the company
. Per WP:COI, you are required to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation. Please disclose this information; merely saying that you are a paid editor is not enough. guninvalid (talk) 17:13, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
