Piotr Kamler page
Hi, Yamla. I just created a stub for Polish film director Piotr Kamler. The page name came with a warning that another page under that name had been removed by you in 2015 because it was created by a banned user in 2015. I couldn't find a reference to it in your logs so I proceeded, but thought it best to check and see if there is any issue I am missing. I believe my stub is all original content. Wrightjack talk
DotesConks
Interesting that he appealed after saying "> I have scrambled my password and this is my final edit. Good riddance. I hope Wikipedia is shut down by the US government. Heil Trump!". Doug Weller talk 07:54, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw that. I mean, I suppose I can't rule out a joe-job on the UTRS ticket. I couldn't see any link to a known WP:LTA. I expect we'll see more of them. --Yamla (talk) 10:56, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
- IMHO (and based on my reading of their edits) this child is a dedicated disrupter. I did not accurately predict their sudden vandalism spree (I was ready to indef the day before, but now am glad I did not). I would be surprised if they go away easily. I'm expecting socks to show up because they enjoy the attention they're getting from adults. This is merely my opinion. BusterD (talk) 13:01, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
- I won't be surprised either. Doug Weller talk 13:39, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello Yamla, please block the talk-page. Regards Serols (talk) 17:28, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
- My guess is there's no need. I'll monitor the page to see if the disruption keeps up, though. --Yamla (talk) 17:30, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, the text is ok? Regards --Serols (talk) 17:33, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
- Sometimes it's helpful just to let the trolls vent for a while. Yeah, it's inappropriate but most admins have thick skins. :) --Yamla (talk) 17:36, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello, thank you for your work at SPI involving this disruptive sockpuppeteer. I wanted to reach out to ask something -- with the sleeper you found following the first instance of block evasion, does that mean they have now violated WP:3X? I ask because there is a discussion at ANI going on about whether to CBAN them (which I supported), and I do wonder if the fact that they socked twice following the initial indef renders that moot with a 3X ban. Just wondering, and figured I'd reach out to you as the admin who tagged and filed the SPI report. JeffSpaceman (talk) 14:00, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- Not yet. Although Mysticandsavant was discovered after the block, it was created prior to the block on DotesConks and wasn't used for block evasion. The next account will be the clincher, though. --Yamla (talk) 15:05, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- OK, I appreciate the clarification. Once again, thank you for your hard work, it's highly appreciated. JeffSpaceman (talk) 15:19, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
