Overdose NOT homicide

The death of George Floyd was not a homicide. The medical examiners report clearly states this fact. The DA, MN governor and Minneapolis mayor all rushed to judgment and called it a homicide prior to the completion of the MEs report. This was done by weak leaders seeking to appease rioters and hoping to avoid devastating damage. The DA drew up a criminal complaint charging Chauvin with Murder without the benefit of knowing what really caused Floyd's death. When the ME told the DA, Governor and Mayor his findings they held several meetings with him to persuade him to change the report. He did so but could not hide certain key findings. Among those are the fact that Floyd had 3 and 2/3 times the amount of fentanyl in his system known to cause death. That along with Meth, THC and significant coronary artery disease caused his demise. Chauvins knee was on the upper back of Floyd and did not cause as much as a bruise. No evidence of asphyxia was found either. The report clearly states that " No life threatening injuries" were present. The politicians decided to throw the cops under the bus and ignored the evidence. This case is a travesty of justice. The video looks bad but he OD'd. 2601:441:4900:7B40:ABF8:98FC:F4A:DCAA (talk) 00:17, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- Chauvin was found guilty of murder. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:29, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- See the FAQ above. This is not the forum to relitigate the trial. If you feel the jury got it wrong, go help Chauvin with his legal appeals. 331dot (talk) 01:21, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- The image clearly shows that he was grinding his knee into the side of Floyd's neck. Kablammo (talk) 02:17, 26 December 2024 (UTC):

It’s called “Death of George Floyd,” not “Murder of George Floyd.”
Please fix the title so it's correct. 2600:6C4A:5A00:3982:C0ED:E4D:2E49:62CA (talk) 02:02, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
Double of in a word?
"and of fear of imminent death?" Why you placed 2 ofs between fear? I hope you make some edit to more comfortable experience. 114.124.243.194 (talk) 03:50, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Bagumba do you want it? 114.124.243.194 (talk) 03:51, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

edit request because there are something weird about the grammatical style
- What I think should be changed (format using {{textdiff}}): "and of fear of imminent death?" Why you placed 2 ofs between fear? I hope you make some edit to more comfortable experience.
- Why it should be changed: because to make the words less redundant and more comfortable to reading.
- References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): i dont know, talk someone else

- It makes sense in the context of the whole sentence he was complaining about of being in fear of imminent death. Slatersteven (talk) 16:35, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

Word change
Hi I’m new to this so hope I’m doing the correct think here, I wanted to bring to your attention a word that I think is incorrect. There’s a number that says [211] and the paragraph starts ‘in preparation for the trial’ in the middle it says ‘of the other three offices’ I think that should say officers and not offices 🙂. 82.20.189.206 (talk) 15:33, 18 April 2025 (UTC)

The Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner Andrew Baker announced his conclusion that George Floyd died not of asphyxiation, but “cardiopulmonary arrest.” In Baker’s opinion, based on the results of his autopsy, Floyd’s medical condition placed him at a higher than usual risk for death or serious injury when subjected to neck pressure. In other words, most suspects, subjected to the same knee pressure as Floyd, probably wouldn’t have died. In particular, Baker noted a thickening and hardening of Floyd’s artery wall, heart disease, and drug use (fentanyl and methamphetamine were found in Floyd’s system) as “significant conditions” contributing to Floyd’s death. Nothing, however, in Baker’s report suggests that the restraint and neck compression applied by Officer Chauvin were not “but-for” causes resulting in Floyd’s death. That is, had the restraint and neck compression not been applied that night, George Floyd would still be alive. Ultimately, Baker ruled the death a homicide. 180.150.36.186 (talk) 07:28, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
Not done This is not an edit request in a "change X text to Y text" format. I'm not really sure what change you are seeking. The article already states the results of Baker's autopsy. We already know that had Chauvin not used his knee on Floyd's neck, he would still be alive, that's why a jury convicted him of murder. 331dot (talk) 08:03, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
