== Resemblance to game ==

Doesn't anyone think that this resembles or at least has a few concepts from Rockstar Manhunt Games . The Main Character is saved from life sentence in prison just like Cash the main player character in Manhunt , Also during the game a director is filming his kills on camera for snuff movies and at the end of the game Cash kills the director, Something like what appens in thius movie. It also borrows elements from the second game where the player is on an island. I ve added the reference to the page but im open to suggestions . Go and check out the manhunt page.

Resemblance to game

Doesn't anyone think that this resembles or at least has a few concepts from Rockstar Manhunt Games . The Main Character is saved from life sentence in prison just like Cash the main player character in Manhunt , Also during the game a director is filming his kills on camera for snuff movies and at the end of the game Cash kills the director, Something like what appens in thius movie. It also borrows elements from the second game where the player is on an island. I ve added the reference to the page but im open to suggestions . Go and check out the manhunt page.

Critical reaction

I removed the following: "On the contrary, Howard Stern noted on his Sirius radio show that the movie was a very good action film and was right up his alley." One review doesn't stem the tide of horrible reviews that this movie recieved. Also, as a Stern fan, you must be aware that most of the film preview discussion they have on the show are actually paid spots by the film studios at the most, and at the least are just casual discussions in an interview. You wouldn't include anything said during a Letterman or Leno appearance, so Stern doesn't justify being noted here either. Vaginsh 23:46, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article redirect

I wish fools like IP user 151.160.40.118 would not redirect this article to things such as Battle Royale..etc - have just reverted this article before to fix vandalism like that --Mikecraig 03:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot / Spoiler

Looking at the edit where alot of the plot and story has been written, does everyone think that this is too much spoiler info? What is the basis of plot and spoiler information in terms of limiting what is said/revealed? --Mikecraig 04:00, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You might be right. The worst thing I see though is the lack of a formal tone.24.8.20.66 05:06, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the biggest problem is that the entire thing is stolen from TheMovieSpoiler.com

Why didn't you just keep it like that and give them credit for it??? ME 5-6-07

The whole plot section is taken almost word-for-word from http://wc06.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=1:355252. --coollettuce 10:20, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Australia release

Does anyone know when it will be released in Australia? We are only about to get The Marine at the end of June!! --Mikecraig 23:45, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

this is like another film

Couldn't there be some note about this being extremely similar to the japanese film "Battle Royale" where the school kids had to fight each other to the death? I know it links to the page at the bottom, but shouldnt there be more info?

Something like that would need to be sourced otherwise it is original research. --Daniel J. Leivick 22:20, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I hope someone takes the time to do this. This movie was a blatant rip-off of Battle Royale. --I'm here for the words 03:27, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is derivative of many other works that have come before it, not just Battle Royale. Look up The Most Dangerous Game and you'll see that this chestnut of a plot hasn't just sprung forth in the past decades. It is quite old. Vaginsh 23:48, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, Battle Royale in itself takes it's plot from previous sources. This movie isn't just a rip-off of it.74.195.235.169 23:49, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

People keep adding mentions of Battle Royale to the article, and putting the film under "See also". This is not appropriate, if you feel it should be mentioned please properly cite a reliable source that compares the films. 76.199.171.239 07:19, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's what "see also" sections are for, and as such do not need to be cited. If it is claimed within the text of the article, in sentences, that there are similarities, those should be cited. Your removals will continue to be reverted. Chris 07:31, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't Human hunting enough? That lists both of the Battle Royale films and the novel. Not to mention other films that are also similar. Should I add a few more films that are similar to this page's "See also" section? 76.199.171.239 03:40, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also noticed that your user page claims that you're a "Japanophile", wouldn't that show some bias because Battle Royale is a Japanese film/novel? I think that shows some issues with your NPOV. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.199.171.239 (talk) 03:44, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think battle royale should be in the See Also area 212.219.220.125 21:26, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
