The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors – Age of Imprisonment

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors – Age of Calamity is an upcoming open-world video game in the The Legend of Zelda series, developed for the Nintendo Switch 2, a video game console set to release on June 5, 2025, by the Japanese developer Nintendo.[1][2][3] The game, expected to release in the fourth quarter of 2025,[4] is classified as an action-adventure game.[5]

Story

Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors – Age of Imprisonment alongside the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console during a Nintendo Direct presentation, where key gameplay elements and game mechanics were showcased.[6] However, the fantasy video game will not be a launch title; instead, it will follow other major releases such as Mario Kart World (set to release alongside the console) and Donkey Kong Bananza (scheduled for summer 2025).
