Ecthyma (/ɛkˈθaɪmə/) is a variation of impetigo, presenting at a deeper level of tissue.[1]
It is usually associated with group A (beta-hemolytic) Streptococcus (abbreviated GAS).[2] This variation has similar features to those of impetigo.
