Tom and Jerry is an Indian-Singaporean-American animated television series based on the Tom and Jerry theatrical cartoon series created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The show aired on Cartoon Network and HBO Go from August 7, 2023 to December 9, 2023.[1][2][3]
The series was first announced in April 2021[4] and promoted in 2022,[5] originally known as Hurry Hurry, Tom and Jerry.[6] It was designed for Southeast Asian audiences, as it is set in various locations in Singapore, including its streets, buildings, and cityscapes. The series comprises of seven 3-minute episodes written by Robot Playground Media in Singapore and produced by Aum Animation Studios India in Asia in association with Warner Bros. Animation,[2][3] as part of a partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery and the Singapore Tourism Board.[7] Character designs were done by Chips and Toon Studios.[2][3]
On September 5, 2024, the series won a Gold Award for Best Kids TV Programme Made in Asia at the 2024 ContentAsia Awards.[8][9][10] Two months later on November 25 of the same year, the series was nominated for Best Kids Animated Series by the 2025 Kidscreen Awards.[11]
