JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation[1] (JFE商事エレクトロニクス株式会社, Jeiefui Shoji Erekutoronikusu Kabushiki-gaisha) is an electronics trading company of the JFE Shoji[2] Group headquartered in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Overview
The DS (Device Solutions) Sales Division handles integrated circuits and other semiconductor-related products and solutions,[3] while the FS (Factory Solutions) Sales Division[4] handles surface mounting machines and other equipment and solutions. In April 2024, the DX Business Promotion Center was newly established. Despite being a trading company, they have a large number of engineers.
With two overseas branches (Singapore and Taipei[5]) and five subsidiaries (Malaysia,[6] Thailand, China, Hong Kong, and Vietnam[7]), the company has 13 offices in eight countries, and is positioned as the only electronics trading company in the JFE Group.
History
1986 - Started electronics business in Kawatetsu Shoji's Development Division with Semiconductor Group, SMT Team (mounting machines), Industrial Equipment Team, etc.
1991 - The Electronics Division was established in Kawatetsu Shoji. Semiconductor Sales Department" and "Industrial Equipment Sales Department" were established.
1994 - Kawasho Engineering Services Malaysia Sdn.Bhd., the current local subsidiary in Malaysia was established.
1996 - Kawasho Engineering Services (Thailand) Limited, the current local subsidiary in Thailand was established.
2002 - Kawasho Electronics Corporation was established and SMT and cleaning businesses were transferred.
2004 - JFE Shoji Holdings,[8] Inc. was established. Kawasho Semiconductor Corporation was established by dividing the company by business segment (steel, food, semiconductors, and real estate) and became a subsidiary of JFE Shoji Holdings, Inc.[8]
2005 - Kawasho Semiconductor Hong Kong Limited, the current Hong Kong subsidiary, was established.
2011 - JFE Shoji Corporation.[2] announced the termination of its holding company structure and Kawasho Semiconductor Corporation and Kawasho Electronics Corporation were merged to form JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation[1]
2018 - JFE Shoji Electronics Vietnam Co.,Ltd. was established in Vietnam.
2022 - head office was moved from 2-7-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo to 2-2-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
