Consider adding this information to Hackney Diamonds instead if you cannot find more in-depth sources. Ca talk to me! 05:52, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

"Bite My Head Off" is a song by the English rock band The Rolling Stones from their 2023 album Hackney Diamonds. The song features former Beatles bassist Paul McCartney on fuzz bass.

Background

Watt said that he asked McCartney to play on the song to confound people’s expectations.[1]

Jagger has said before that it was finally time for McCartney to join them in the studio.[2]

Jagger originally had the idea of McCartney playing on Depending on You, but they eventually decided on doing a punk song.[3]

Recording

Watt said that after walking McCartney out, McCartney said "I just played f–ing bass with the Stones – and I’m a f–ing Beatle".[4]

According to an IHeart Radio interview, the Stones and McCartney were all in the same room.[5]

Reception

Rock Cellar said called it an all-star collaboration of the highest degree.[6]
