- Portal:Water sports (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Old rebooted portal. The preautomated version was very outdated [1] and the automated version retains elements like news from 2008 and various other years, suggesting even the old version indiscriminately included outdated info like a story about three cities submitting bids for the 2020 Olympics.
Another fatal flaw is the head article is a list. We don't need a portal for a list. The facing page saw no effort since 2013 except for minor cat changes until the portal reboot started automating it. Evidently there is a lack of interested editors for maintaining this topic. - Comment. No opinion on this portal, as I have already run out of time to review this flood of nominations, but I don't see why a list as the root article should be a fatal flaw for a portal. If anything, it suggests a portal could form a useful addition to the encyclopedia's coverage. Espresso Addict (talk) 20:44, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
- Comment - Old portal, 18 subpages, created 2007-11-22 05:02:40 by User:Pumpmeup. A comment by a maintainer, if any, could make the day. Portal:Water sports. Pldx1 (talk) 20:50, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
- Delete - I respectfully disagree with User:Legacypac that a list as a head article is a defect, but this portal appears to be abandoned except by the portal platoon and has other issues. Creator is inactive, et cetera. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:27, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
