For all the time and effort you have put in — across thousands of edits — to markedly improve numerous articles related to Christianity all these years. The magnitude of the positive impact you have had with regard to Wikipedia's coverage of academic topics related to Christianity is unprecedented; I cannot think of any other editor who has worked so rigorously and improved those topics to the extent that you have. ActivelyDisinterested Bless you! Thank you! I so deeply appreciate you and all your work. You are still the one I will reach out to when I have a problem, but you have taught me a lot, and this article was just too much to ask someone else to do for me. I would have enjoyed banging my head against a wall more, but hey, I followed your example and got it done. I put it up for peer review and others suggested adding back a theology section which I am beginning work on today. Thank you again. You are a great blessing. Question from Gmartin122 (19:20, 23 March 2025)

Hi, I just made my first edit by correcting some information on the Sarasota County Libraries page. I made a change to the 4th paragraph but I might have accidently moved the references up. I'm not sure how I made this mistake and am unsure of how to fix it. If you could help that would be lovely. --Gmartin122 (talk) 19:20, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from JustOryn (19:40, 8 April 2025)

I just made Wikipedia due to reading up on a tornado that hit my city, but the information was somewhat inaccurate.

Wikipedia says that you're an experienced editor, and that if I edit, I should consult you. Is there any formatting I need? Would I need to provide proofs of my edited claim? Is there anything I should need to know before editing? --JustOryn (talk) 19:40, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! JustOryn I have now posted a welcome to your talk page. You will note that doing so has turned your page name blue. It has some links on it that I recommend you read. Wikipedia has some pretty strict requirements. They are similar but somewhat different from writing research papers and other scholarly writings you might be accustomed to, so no matter how experienced you are, it pays to read these links. There is a lot to learn here, and it can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but if you persevere, I can promise it will be worth it. Wikipedia is a wonderful place - with an occasional bad egg - but it is possible to deal with those as well, and the majority of people here "assume good faith" in others and treat people accordingly. We are glad you are here - honestly - we need and want new editors with a commitment to making a quality encyclopedia. I hope you are one.
Everything you write must be referenced to a quality secondary source. You must not write original work, personal opinions, or biased views. It will get reverted - deleted by other editors. If you have a source that contradicts what is written here already, you may add that and note that there is disagreement, but unless you have a source that says one is wrong, you can't say so. You don't get to pick which one you think is right. We try to write the majority view but also include dissenting views because WP tries to be neutral. It tries not to have a point of view but presents in a representative manner the points of view of those in the sources. That includes all of them and not just the one you agree with. Sourcing is our god. All disputes over content rise and fall on quality sourcing. Good luck, and if you have any future questions, feel free to ask. Jenhawk777 (talk) 21:34, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo --Naasir abdiasiis (talk) 17:04, 12 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I have now posted a welcome on your talk page with some links that will help you get started here. Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:11, 12 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting article. Stephen Harrison is something of a WP "beat reporter" and has a pretty good WP-understanding. He told me once (he has a WP-account) "I've always said at speaking events that I do not especially want a personal Wikipedia page. I have a somewhat unique perspective in that people email me every 2-3 weeks complaining about their Wikipedia articles and I can tell it's causing them a lot of grief." A few days later he said (paraphrased) "Btw, here's a source you can use for that draft about me." Like Oscar Wilde said, "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." Question from IrvinAlex (08:52, 16 April 2025)

Hello. I would like to create a few pages about the companies. How to do it correct and not be blocked? --IrvinAlex (talk) 08:52, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This sounds like it might be "Conflict of Interest" editing and it is strongly discouraged on WP. Neutrality is a primary standard and goal of all WP editing, and COI makes that almost impossible.
First, read this page: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Some important points: Editors with a COI, including paid editors, are expected to disclose it ...COI editors are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly, and can propose changes on article talk pages instead. This is the best approach, especially if you propose significant or potentially controversial changes. You can use the double curly brackets front and back around around the phrase edit COI placed at the bottom of the article's talk page. State your suggestion underneath, and be sure to sign it with four tildes. If the proposal is verifiable and appropriate, it will usually be accepted.
If you choose to edit directly, you have three choices on how to disclose your COI: put the template with double curly brackets front and back around the phrase connected contributor at the top of the article's page, fill in the data, and then publish. Or make a statement that you are a COI contributor in the edit summary of any and every edit you make. Or you can use the double curly brackets front and back around the phrase UserboxCOI as a template on your user page with the relevant data filled in there.
If you don't follow these, eventually someone will notice and revert (remove) all your work, and you will have wasted all your time and effort. Always disclose. Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:32, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
