Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Amy Ryan has been reverted.
Your edit here to Amy Ryan was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://ethnicelebs.com/amy-ryan) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 03:16, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Christopher McDonald are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Death of Gareth Williams. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. R0paire 22:59, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Los Angeles Central Library. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Synorem (talk) 05:19, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. what do you not understand? ...69.181.17.113 (talk) 01:07, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is inappropriate to include put a bunch of reliable sources about the actress herself on the TV series article as it is an article about the TV series and not the actress herself. — YoungForever(talk) 01:23, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
the actress herself is a sub-topic that needs sources just like production history and reception otherwise actors would not have wikilinks from articles about productions they performed in. ... 69.181.17.113 (talk) 01:30, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Again, the TV series article is not the actress' article. — YoungForever(talk) 04:22, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's no excuse. I was able to add the date and reference to Wikidata using an incognito window, no login required. I was, however, unable to navigate the Wikidata qualifiers and parameters to mark this date as the preferred date based on the best substantiated reference - the other date refs are all to databases with no inherent authority. I tried, but the values were not accepted, even though they were on the list.
