The teachings of Mr. Gurdjieff are available through his writings (particularly in Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson), in the movements, and in an oral tradition. The oral tradition can only be found in groups linked to Mr. Gurdjieff by a direct lineage. The largest such group is the Gurdjieff Foundation (known in Europe as the Gurdjieff Society or the Gurdjieff Institute). Not everyone is able or inclined to enter the Gurdjieff Foundation. Other reputable groups -- with a legitimate lineage -- are the groups of Willem Nyland, the Rochester Folk Art Guild (founded by Louise March) and Two Rivers Farm (founded by A.L. Stavely, a direct pupil of Mr. Gurdjieff and Jane Heap). These latter groups should be acknowledged on any page that discusses the ongoing Gurdjieff Work. It is debatable whether all Gurdjieff groups should come under the aegis of one organization; there would be advantages and dangers were that the situation. It is not. The present reality should be acknowledged, accepted and even appreciated.
