Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page, and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that you don't need to "fix" links that already redirect to the correct page. See the article linked in the section title. Happy editing! TheStickMan[✆Talk] 02:20, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm McGeddon. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2048 (video game), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello, I'm here to discuss the usefulness of this template. I'm aware that other, similar templates currently exist for currently running series in magazines, such as {{Series in Weekly Shōnen Jump}} and {{Series in Hana to Yume}} (as well as 7 others), but a template of this nature for series that simply appeared in a magazine are rare (the only examples I can think of are the {{Weekly Shōnen Jump - 1968–1979}} family, and that's only for the most notable series for those years). So before you might have been thinking about doing similar templates for Gangan Comics magazines, I would ask that you reconsider the usefulness of the template in its current form, and if perhaps we can't reshape it to be more in line with the first two templates I linked. However, since there appears to only be 3 or 4 series that are currently still being serialized in the magazine that have articles, it may be better to simply delete the template and go with a category instead. I apologize, I didn't notice at first that the templates had already been created by another editor last year. However, I still think that navboxes such as this and {{Comic Flapper}} may not be necessary, and that a category may be a better way to organize all the series that were serialized in these magazines, such as with Category:Dengeki Daioh. Just {{ping}} me here so we can keep the discussion in one place.-- 10:51, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Electricburst1996. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2015 in American television, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Per WP:V, content must be verifiable, and it's unclear how Dog With A Blog ending can be verified without a source. Thank you. ElectricBurst(Electron firings)(Zaps) 19:39, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edits regarding TLOZ

Hi,

Since you seem new, in this edit I appreciate the change of "2016 video game" to "upcoming video game". However, changing "1986 video game" to "video game" is, for the most part, inappropriate, per WP:REDIRECT. --Izno (talk) 14:56, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And I see that someone has commented exactly like this a year ago. Please don't do that. --Izno (talk) 14:56, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Manga volumes

Hey, Landingdude13. There's been a good you are great editor to keep the released volumes of manga updated. However, as far I as remember, you always do only this. Nothing wrong with the edit itself but as long as the prose says "as of November 6, 2015, four volumes have been released" you could have updated it too, right? Sometimes you do update the prose ([1], [2]) but in both cases you do something equally troubling: you update the text but not the source. And this is especially complicated because it makes the article violate WP:V. If possible, you when you update a manga article, you could update infobox, prose, and references - and then you have a complete job. You're not obligated to, I know, and I don't want you to take it as an offense or something like that... it's just a tip as it would be good if you do it to keep the articles in a better state. Cheers, Gabriel Yuji (talk) 04:13, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

Hi please start using edit summaries so editors can tell at a glance what changes you made to an article without having to look at the diff. This would be very helpful, especially because you appear in my watchlist a lot and I can't tell if these edits are routine maintenance or something significant. Opencooper (talk) 12:39, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I already know about the edit summaries and I know how to put them in. Landingdude13 11:00, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merger between Template:Trigger and my upcoming template

Hello, I'm Landingdude13. I noticed you create a template about an anime studio Trigger, I'm a little impress.

We all know that Trigger is part of Ultra Super Pictures right?, and I was wondering that I gotta show you something, my upcoming template about Ultra Super Pictures (it's not created yet, unless you agreed).

This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.

To change this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

  • {{Landingdude13|state=collapsed}} will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.
  • {{Landingdude13|state=expanded}} will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.

Category:Anime and manga navigational boxes

If you like it, is it okay that I can redirect that template you created with mine or just get rid of it. It's your choice and also, my template is based on the Japanese template - ja:Template:ウルトラスーパーピクチャーズ. Landingdude13 14:50, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I don't see any problem and I like it. I agree with the offer. Even I shall create this template on AzWiki. Thank you that you asked my opinion.--White DemΩn (talk) 08:38, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Lord Roem. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Yuri on Ice without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mass edit of redirects

Hey, re: your recent mass edits removing "1986" from The Legend of Zelda (video game), please see the guideline on redirects that are not broken. There was no harm in leaving them as they were, especially as the page is likely to need further disambiguation again some day. I am no longer watching this pageping if you'd like a response czar 04:31, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Czar: I made the exact same comment at #Edits regarding TLOZ over a year ago, and someone a year ago before that. I am concerned about this user's behavior on this point, if we've got yet a third user commenting on this issue. --Izno (talk) 05:20, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Landingdude, I recommend that you voluntarily abstain from these types of edits (mass changes of redirects) for the future, especially as you have opted to not acknowledge prior messages or otherwise explain yourself. If you do think a mass change is warranted, please first discuss it with other editors (if related to video games, at WT:VG). Is this an amicable solution? czar 05:51, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I got almost carried away since the upcoming video game is announced like years ago until it got a new title right now and well, let's just say that's a little bit concern. -- Landingdude13 20:00, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So, I came here to inform you about WP:NOTBROKEN, only to see that it seems that you've been being warned about this for years? Is there something you're not understanding about the concept of NOTBROKEN? Because your recent changing of instances of Trails of Cold Steel to ''[[The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel|Trails of Cold Steel]]'' is the same sort of thing you've been asked to stop by multiple editors now. Sergecross73 msg me 20:48, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And yet again over at Blue Sky Studios. There is a reason we prefer redirects. Please, stop it. --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:37, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And again here too. I'd ask "did you forget about these conversations" but I don't know why you would - how hard is it to not do things like this? I'd hate to block you over something so trivial, but this had been a year-spanning issue with you when we talked about this last time, 10 months ago. Last warning to stop doing this. Sergecross73 msg me 17:21, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I won't do it again. Landingdude13 talk 22:37, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thank you, then we're fine. I still dont understand conceptually why you keep doing this though. Sergecross73 msg me 22:54, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Because I couldn't help it to fix these articles over redirects. It's a thing sometimes. Landingdude13 talk 23:16, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It is not a fix. No, seriously. Stop thinking of it as one. Stop speaking of it as one. There's a whole lot else you can do that will satisfy the fix-itch. --Izno (talk) 00:04, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- I just wrote out a warning, and deleted it when I saw that that I gave you the exact same final warning about a year ago, and you said you’d stop, and you’ve now violated it again, and not in a general sense, but literally with the exact same articles as last time. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Diamond Is Unbreakable, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Making the claim that someone or something is "named after" someone or something else is the very definition of original research and has no place on Wikipedia.Farix (t | c) 02:48, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to JoJolion. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. —Farix (t | c) 02:52, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Does this link count as a source? [3] If so, should I add it? --Landingdude13 (talk) 04:25, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wikis are user-contributed, so they can't be used as sources for anything on Wikipedia. For this sort of thing, we need to know Araki's intent - basically, we need a direct statement from Araki or his company, Lucky Land Communications, saying that a character was named after so-and-so. This can sometimes be found in interviews or in the author notes in the manga volumes. I know there have been JoJo artbooks as well in Japan, but haven't purchased any - it's possible there is some information in them that can be used, too.--IDVtalk 08:12, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think this is what your looking for - [4] and you're right, it is possible to find them anyway unless it's on Amazon, eBay, or any Japanese store websites which is a possibility.--Landingdude13talk 08:33, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I was thinking about these specifically, but unless you are fluent in Japanese, the information in the Viz-published JoJonium books is way more accessible.--IDVtalk 09:12, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Stardust Crusaders, you may be blocked from editing. —Farix (t | c) 11:33, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I won't do it again.--Landingdude13talk 20:40, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies

Hello, Landingdude. I've just seen that my recent edit here (on 2018 in American television), which I thought was merely making a grammatical correction, also removed a good deal of sourced material. I also see that you've restored that material. The removal was unintentional and you have my apologies for creating the extra work. NewYorkActuary (talk) 20:03, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

John McCain and Su Chia-chyuan

Hi. I assume you changed the outlink in John McCain from Su Jia-chyuan to Su Chia-chyuan because the former is currently a redirect to the latter. Based on sources, I've proposed swapping the redirect and the article, since the three apparently authoritative sources use Jia.
