Pauline Rochefort

Pauline Rochefort MP is a Canadian politician from the Liberal Party of Canada. She was elected Member of Parliament for Nipissing—Timiskaming in the 2025 Canadian federal election.[1]

Pauline holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ottawa.

Pauline was a professor at Nipissing University from 2009 to 2010, when she became the Executive Director of External Relations and Advancement. She retired in 2012.

Pauline served as the Deputy Mayor of East Ferris from 2014 to 2018 before being elected Mayor later in 2018. She held the position of Mayor from 2018 until 2025, when she resigned after becoming the Member of Parliament for Nipissing - Timiskaming.[2]

Pauline's cousin, Bernard Grandmaître, served as the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Ottawa East from 1984 to 1999. He was a member of Premier David Peterson's cabinet, holding the positions of Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister of Revenue.
