NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health

The NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition, and Health is an interdisciplinary think tank established in 2008. It grew out of the Need for Nutrition Education/Innovation Programme (NNEdPro) and is headquartered in Cambridge, UK. [1]

NNEdPro is dedicated to improving health outcomes through nutrition education, research, and policy development. It hosts the NNEdPro-IANE Cambridge Summer School, which awards a Foundation Certificate in Applied Human Nutrition. This programme covers nutritional concepts, research methods, and their applications in healthcare and policy.[2]

The institute collaborates with Dundee and Angus College to enhance culinary skills and nutrition education. This partnership provides students with practical experiences and access to evidence-informed materials. [3][4]

NNEdPro also partners with the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health (NICHE) at Ulster University, one of the largest nutrition research groups in the UK and Ireland.[5]

Professor Sumantra Ray, NNEdPro's founding chair, is a British medical doctor and registered nutritionist. He holds academic positions at Ulster University and King's College London and has published extensively in the field.[6][7]
