Freydoun Malkom

Freydoun Malkom Khan (Persian: فریدون ملکم خان, also Romanized Firidun; 25 December 1875 – 4 June 1954) was an Iranian fencer representing Qajar Iran (Persia). He competed in the individual épée event at the 1900 Summer Olympics.[1] He is the first Iranian or Persian who participated in the Olympic Games. Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar granted him the royal title of Prince after his father, Mirza Malkam Khan offered a diamond ring to the Shah.[2]
